Republican Pickup Opportunity: Maine’s 2^nd District used to be a Republican seat, held for a two terms by moderate Rep. Bruce Poliquin (CFGF lifetime rating: 51%), but Poliquin lost the seat to Democrat Jared Golden in 2018, even though President Trump won this seat by 10 points. Club for Growth polling shows only 23% of general election voters said they would absolutely vote to reelect Democrat Jared Golden. This is a top Republican and conservative pick-up opportunity. Brakey is facing two other Republicans in the primary.
